Job Overview

The Data Mapping Specialist (DMS) will be responsible for implementing and managing clinical mapping strategies and solutions to optimize operations, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance the client experience. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that the clinical mapping initiatives are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.

The Data Mapping Specialist will work with clients to provide training, quality assurance, and workflow deliverables for Aesto Health’s legacy data archive, ChartCapture. Members of this team are expected to meet timelines established by the project manager (PM) for each project and communicate with their team leader and other team members about the ongoing status of project tasks, any known risks to timelines, and requirements of the client, etc. The DMS will be responsible for providing mapping for specific deliverables outlined in a project’s statement of work.  

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with other teams regarding clinical mapping strategies and solutions to optimize healthcare operations and enhance client experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess clinical mapping needs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of clinical workflows, processes, and systems to ensure effective clinical mapping
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of clinical mapping initiatives
  • Collaborate on implementing training programs to educate healthcare providers and staff on clinical mapping strategies and solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical mapping initiatives, using data analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to clinical mapping and healthcare operations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and standards
  • Conduct Quality Assurance of clinical mapping decisions
  • Conduct virtual clinical mapping training to clients
  • Provide end-user support during and after the clinical mapping process
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and communicate project status to team members and team lead
  • Documents activities and maintains records according to Aesto Heath procedures
  • Assist the Project Associate team when primary mapping duties are complete
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical mapping, healthcare environment, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, processes, and systems
  • Experience with data analysis and process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Communicates clearly and listens actively
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively identify and analyze issues in the workplace and implement solutions collaboratively
  • Customer-first mentality; ability to empathize and build customer relationships and manage customer expectations
  • Critical thinking and proven ability to solve complex problems
  • Must be receptive to providing, receiving, and implementing constructive feedback
  • Maintain excellent performance and a positive attitude under pressure
  • Ability to lead meetings, present information, and address a broad stakeholder audience
  • EMR usage and understanding
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Clinical background (Example: LPN, RN, Medical Records, Coding)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or a minimum of three years in the healthcare environment
